This weekend’s Food & Wine section in the Chronicle included a story about sour beers. One of the beers featured was this gem, from Ale Industries in Concord:
Unity, as in Edward.
Yes, that is its complete name. It derives from Ale Industries’ address, which is Unit E in their business complex. You can probably see where this is going. Whenever they would give someone their address over the phone, too many callers would think they were saying “Unity.” They would of course have to explain, “No, Unit E, as in Edward.”
Brilliant.
